The Embassy of India in Bahrain is inviting applications for the ‘Annapurna Certificate,’ established by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) to honour restaurants abroad that significantly promote authentic Indian cuisine and culinary traditions. Indian dining establishments abroad play a crucial role in introducing Indian cuisine to local communities and strengthening cultural ties. The ‘Annapurna Certificate’ initiative by ICCR aims to enhance cultural interaction through food and recognize global ambassadors of authentic Indian cuisine.

Restaurants operating for five years or more and serving quality food in a clean and hygienic environment can apply for the certificate. After detailed scrutiny of applications, certificates will be awarded at functions organized by the Indian embassy in respective countries. This recognition can greatly enhance the stature of the restaurant's owners and chefs.
