An elaborate spread of south Indian dishes includings Kerala's meat oolarthiyadu and ada paradham was served for Chinese Presidend Xi Jinping who is on a two-day visit to India.

The informal summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Jinping is taking place in Tamil Nadu's coastal town Mamallapuram which has an array of seafood delicacies.

The menu for the first day of the summit included food items from Kerala, Andhra, and Tamil cuisines. Famous Thanjavur chicken curry and Malabar style lobster also made it to the lavish dinner table.

Mutton biryani prepared with long-grain rice in Andhra style was another star item on the menu.

From Thakkali Rasam and Arachavitta Sambar to Kadalai Kuruma, a lot of local dished also graced the special dinner table.

The two leaders also took a tour of the ancient rock monuments, Arjuna's Penance, Panch Rathas and the Shore Temple.
