The Mazhavil Music Awards 2024 ceremony will be telecast on Mazhavil Manorama on Saturday and Sunday, at 7 pm. Veteran lyricist Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Programmes in honour of the musician, who brought joy as well as tears to Malayalam film music aficionados, will be showcased as part of the event.

Noted singer M G Sreekumar will be honoured with the Golden Voice Award from leading musician Hariharan at the function. ‘Kiliyee…’ from the movie ‘ARM’ has been selected as this year’s best song. Jithin Raj will receive the award for best male singer for the song ‘Periyone…’, while Vaikom Vijayalakshmi and Madhuvanti Narayanan will share the award for best female singer.

Sushin Shyam and Vinayak Sasikumar has been adjudged as best music director and best lyricist, respectively. Vijay Yesudas and Chinmayi have been selected for the best duet (for the song ‘Omanee…’), while K G Markose, will receive a special prize on having staged a remarkable comeback after several years with the song ‘Telangana bommalu’ in the movie ‘Premalu’.
Programmes by Hariharan, K S Chithra, Sujatha and Sharreth along with leading singers Vidhu Prathap, Sithara Krishnakumar and Swetha Mohan, are the highlight of the Mazhavil Manorama Music Awards ceremony.
