Mollywood celebrities have released a song appreciating the relief efforts of the state government, social organisations and individuals in the landslide – hit regions in Wayanad, through their Facebook pages. The lines of the song ‘Churam Kadannu Vannidum’ were penned by journalist and lyricist Vivek Muzhakunnu, a native of Muzhakunnu village in Kannur district located close to Wayanad.
“We are all numb after the tragedy that unfolded in Wayanad. Those who have survived the tragedy should be guaranteed a better, safer life. At this moment, what we need is a collective effort to rebuild that place. What everyone needs to do is stand united for a common cause. This song is part of our efforts to encourage this united spirit,” Vivek said.

Ranjith Jayaraman, who has composed and rendered the song has crooned several super hit numbers. ‘Vaanam Neelayanu Bhai’ (Da Thadiya), ‘Pookkalam Kai Veeshi’ (Maheshinte Prathikaram) and ‘Njanennum Kinavu’ (Adyarathri), among his most popular works.
