When Puneeth Rajkumar and his father sang together in 'Yarivanu'

Popular Kannada suspense thriller Yarivanu, released in 1984, is often remembered for many interesting factors. This film proved that Puneeth was not just a born actor but also a singer as well.

Interestingly, Puneeth and his father sang a song in the film where Puneeth Rajkumar was cast as a child actor. Starring Rajkumar, Srinath, B Saroja Devi, Roopa Devi, Hema Choudhary and Puneeth Rajkumar in lead roles, the film was directed by Dorai-Bhagawan. 

Puneeth sang a song, titled 'Aakashade Haaraduva', with his father in the film. 'Aakashade Haaraduva' was a song sung by the father-son duo in the film. The music was composed by Rajan-Nagendra and the lyrics were penned by Chi.

Puneeth also sang another song, 'Kannige Kaanuva'.

Puneeth Rajkumar’s sudden demise has shocked everyone. Tributes from all over the country have poured in for the Power Star who passed away due to a massive heart attack on October 29. He was 46.
