Music maestro AR Rahman is celebrating his 54th birthday on Wednesday. Also known as 'The Mozart Of Madras', AR Rahman has managed to charm audiences with his numbers.

On his birthday, the hashtags #HBDARRahman and #HBDARR54 have been trending on social media since morning. Along with fans, many celebrities from different walks of life have also been wishing Rahman on social media.

Special cover song

As a tribute to the legend, few musicians have come together to bring a cover song.

Singer PK Hemanth crooned the song Nilaa Kaaigiradhu from the 1995 movie Indira with guitar and ukelele support by Santhosh Chandran.

While the original song is an amazing composition by Rahman, with the cover song, Hemanth has managed to recreate the soul of the melody beautifully.

On work front

AR Rahman is currently working on Sivakarthikeyan's Ayalaan, Vikram's Cobra and Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan. He also has Kamal Haasan's Thalaivan Irukkindran and many other Bollywood projects in his kitty.
