Anu Sithara is on cloud nine as she is enjoying the incredible box office success of her latest movie ‘Santhosham’. “I am thrilled listening to the audience who says that the movie had filled their eyes with tears and hearts with joy,” says Anu with a smile. The family drama penned by Arjun Sathyan is directed by Ajith V Thomas. The movie bankrolled jointly by Isha Pattali and Ajith V Thomas has been drawing families to the theatres. Besides Anu, Shajohn, Mallika Sukumaran and Amith Chakkalackal too play pivotal roles.

“The movie and my character Aadya are really close to my heart. ‘Santhosham’ is so realistic that it seems as if a camera has been turned towards our families,” notes the actress

From Khadeeja to Aadya

In ‘Momo in Dubai’, Anu played the mother of three kids. However, Aadya is an over-caring sister who wishes to be always happy. The actress is excited as the audience has loved both Khadeeja and Aadya. Anu says that Aadya is quite similar to her. Like her character, Anu too is a caring sister who notices everything in her little sister’s life.

Anu, the elder sister

“My sister Anu Sonara and I are seven years apart. Like in the movie, I too am a protective elder sister. I felt that our lives had been reflected in some of the combination scenes with my onscreen sister,” says Anu.

Dance, traveling

Anu is a passionate dancer who never forgets her practice sessions despite her busy schedule. She has been able to strike a great balance between a healthy diet and dance practice sessions ever since the pandemic days. She got the chance to perform alongside many eminent artists. Besides, Anu is a travel enthusiast who enjoys short trips with her family. She often visits places like Muthanga and Gundalpettu on her way to her home town in Wayanad. Moreover, Anu is planning a thrilling trip to Turkey with her husband, this month.

Tamil movie

Anu is currently awaiting the release of her Tamil movie ‘Patham Thala’ opposite Chimbu. The movie is slated to hit the screens on 30 March.
