Madhu C Narayanan is back, returns after six years to helm new movie with Naslen

Director Madhu C Narayanan who earned critical acclaim for his work in 'Kumbalangi Nights' is finally returning with his new project after a gap of six years. The director had recently launched a casting call for actors to play the female lead in the film opposite 'Premalu' star Naslen. As per the casting call, the female actor between the age of 20 and 25 should preferably handle the Kochi slang, hinting that the film will be set in Kochi itself.
As per reports, the film will be a musical, with a script by Muhsin and music by Rex Vijayan. Vedan, a rapper and musician from Kerala, is also expected to be part of the project, as per industry tracker A B George. 'Kumbalangi Nights' featuring Soubin Shahir, Shane Nigam, Fahadh Faasil, Anna Ben and Mathew Thomas went on to become a critical and commercial success after its release in 2019. The family drama revolved around four brothers and the issues they face in a dysfunctional family. Their relationships are also the focus of the film, which was also praised for its music with Sushin Shyam.
Earlier, there were rumours that Madhu was planning on a big project with Mohanlal in the lead. However, there has been no update in this regard.
