Mohanlal's directorial debut, 'Barroz', which hit theatres on Christmas Day, December 25 last year, is now all set for its OTT release. The fantasy adventure will begin streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from January 22. The OTT platform announced the news via their social media handles, much to the delight of fans.

'Barroz' is a tale steeped in history and mystery. The film is set in 1663 and revolves around the loyal lieutenant Barroz, who serves Portugal’s Da Gama kings. Tasked by the king with a crucial mission, Barroz must protect a valuable treasure and ensure it is handed over only to a rightful descendant of the Da Gama lineage.

The film features a talented ensemble cast. Mohanlal takes on the titular role of Barroz, while Maya Rao West portrays Isa Ron/Isabella da Gama. June Vig plays young Isabella da Gama, and Nerea Camacho makes a cameo appearance as the adult Isa Ron.
