Bold scenes not the reason: Anurag Basu clarifies Triptii Dimri's exit from 'Aashiqui 3'

Fans of 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' were eagerly anticipating Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri’s on-screen reunion in 'Aashiqui 3'. The buzz heightened after Triptii took part in the look tests and even performed in the mahurat shot. However, the anticipation turned to disappointment as reports surfaced last week claiming that Triptii had been dropped from the film. Director Anurag Basu later confirmed the news, officially stating that she would no longer be part of the project.

While rumours swirled that Triptii’s bold scenes in 'Animal' made her “too exposed” for the role in 'Aashiqui 3', Basu quickly dispelled these claims. In an interview with Mid Day, he clarified, “That’s not true,” further confirming that Triptii was aware of the situation.
With her exit, the search for a new female lead for 'Aashiqui 3' is now underway, as the film prepares to begin production in the coming weeks.
