The Asif Ali–Anaswara Rajan starrer 'Rekhachithram' is creating a buzz in theatres. The film, an alternate history of an incident that took place on the sets of the 1985 Mammootty movie 'Kathodu Kathoram', has been warmly received by audiences. From its opening day, it has benefited significantly from strong word-of-mouth publicity.
The film's four-day box office collection has now been revealed. 'Rekhachithram' has earned an impressive Rs 28 crore within this short span. Mammootty’s presence in the movie has also contributed to its popularity. Directed by Jofin T. Chacko, this marks his second venture after the critically acclaimed 'The Priest'.
Falling under the speculative fiction genre, 'Rekhachithram' masterfully blends the past and present to deliver a compelling and convincing storyline. The movie is more than just a crime thriller—it serves as a tribute to the golden era of 1980s Malayalam cinema.
