One of Tamil cinema's most iconic films, 'Baashha', starring superstar Rajinikanth and Nagma, is set to make a triumphant return to the big screen. Produced by R M Veerappan for Sathya Movies, the film, directed by Suresh Krissna, was originally released in 1995.
To celebrate the film's 30th anniversary, Sathya Movies' 60th golden jubilee, and Rajinikanth's 50th year in cinema, the makers have decided to re-release 'Baashha' with cutting-edge technical enhancements. The re-release will feature stunning 4K remastering and Dolby Atmos surround sound, offering a fresh cinematic experience for both old and new audiences.

'Baashha' is a gangster saga that revolutionized the style of commercial action films in Indian cinema. One of the most memorable lines from the film, "Naan oru thadava sonna, nooru thadava sonna mathiri" (What I say once is like saying it a hundred times), delivered by Rajinikanth, became an instant fan favourite and continues to be widely used across various platforms.

The film also stars the late actor Raghuvaran, Charanraj, Anandraj, Janagaraj, Vijayakumar, Yuvarani, and others, with Rajinikanth's performance standing at the heart of the story. Upon its release, 'Baashha' became a massive hit, earning the title of the biggest blockbuster in Rajinikanth’s career. The film ran for an incredible 15 months in theatres across India and was remade in several languages.
