Actor–model Shaun Romy opened up about her battle with an autoimmune disease and said 2024 was particularly difficult for her. In a long post, the actor said the disease affected her skin and her hair had begun falling apart as a result of the steroid injections.
She also shared a reel capturing various stages of her recovery. “2024 was wild!! My auto immune condition got out of hand. I had to truly let go and let god! I reconnected with my bestie. She was truly heaven sent. I remember holding on to her words. She said it’s just a phase…all your hair will be back in a month and so it was. I remember getting steroid shots every two weeks for a month and then every month from August until now. I was too scared to work out because if I did anything too intense I would het my period right away! I had to really slow down. Moving to Goa and living the slow life helped A LOT! Healing happened when I aligned with who I am and not who I thought I should be. 2024 was scary, powerful and transformative. I learnt to become comfortable with not knowing and not being in control.”
Shaun Romy impressed the audience, playing Anitha in the critically acclaimed 'Kammattipadam.' She has also acted in movies like 'Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi,' 'Lucifer' and 'Rajani.'
