The makers of 'Marco', starring Unni Mukundan in the lead role, have marketed it as the most violent film in the history of Malayalam cinema. The film has generated a lot of buzz, particularly for its intense and brutal scenes. One viewer, Suraj, a young man from North India, was left stunned by the movie's uncompromising violence. According to him, he has never witnessed such extreme scenes in a film before.
Suraj shared his experience, describing how a woman sitting next to him was so overwhelmed by the violent content that she vomited. He remarked that 'Marco' contained more bloodshed and violence than Bollywood films like 'Animal' and 'Kill'. “I watched 'Marco'. The woman who sat next to me threw up on my shirt as she couldn’t bear the violent scenes on screen,” Suraj said. He went on to compare the violence in 'Marco' with that in other films, claiming that the violence in 'Animal' and 'Kill' seemed milder in comparison. “You may not have seen such a movie in Indian cinema. The villain, not the hero, is the real star of this film. You may not have seen a villain who doesn’t hesitate to show cruelty even to children. It is better that children and old people do not watch this movie as they might die of stress. This movie hasn’t compromised on the violent content. This movie should be experienced in the theatre,” he added.
'Marco', with a runtime of two hours and 25 minutes, is written and directed by Haneef Adeni. Produced by Shereef Muhammad under the banner of Cubes Entertainment, this film is being touted as the biggest project in Unni Mukundan's career.
