Kangana Ranaut to play Jayalalithaa in her next?

If reports are to be believed Kangana Ranaut will be seen playing late politician J Jayalalithaa in 'Thalaivi', her next. The biopic film will be directed by A L Vijay. It was composer G V Prakash Kumar who took to twitter to announce the big news on Kangana's birthday Friday.
"After #gangsofwasseypur this will be my venture back into Hindi .. #GV72 #KanganaRanaut will play the lead role in #Thalaivi, the #Jayalalithaabiopic produced by @vibri_media @vishinduri and directed by #Vijay #Vijayendraprasad #NiravShah @gvprakash #HBDKanganaRanaut (sic)", his tweet read.
The film is touted to be a bilingual and will be titled 'Thalaivi' in Tamil and 'Jaya' in Hindi. Vijay is known for directing movies like 'Madrasapattinam' and 'Deiva Thirumagal'.
The movie will be written by KV Vijayendra Prasad, who has delivered superhits like the 'Baahubali' series, 'Manikarnika' and 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan'. The movie will be produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shaailesh R Singh under the banners of Vibri & Karma Media and Entertainment.
Kangana was last seen in period film 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi'.
Reportedly, Nithya Menen has also been roped for another movie in which she will play Jayalalithaa. Titled 'The Iron Lady', the film is being directed by Priyadarshini, a former associate of director Mysskin. The movie has the tagline 'India’s Margaret Thatcher'. The first look posters of the movie had gone viral.
