100 days of '96': Vijay Sethupathi,  Trisha recreate another climax

Some love stories have sad endings and they haunt you for long. Vijay Sethupathi starrer '96' was one such movie, and ever since its release all that we wanted was to see Ram and Janu united forever.

Now, on the 100-day celebration of the movie both Sethupathi (Ram) and Trisha (Janu) have recreated a fresh climax off screen and that was quite a welcome relief for those who watched the touching film.

Actor Parthiepan, who anchored the event, said it was unfair to let Janu leave the venue after breaking the hearts of both Ram and the audience. A new climax that was soothing for all was recreated then as Parthiepan requested Vijay to hug Trisha. The actors who gracefully accepted the request won applauds at the event.

Trisha said that such recognition come rarely and thanked the director C Prem Kumar for gifting her the role of Janu. She said that the event was one of the most unforgettable moments of her life and also thanked Sethupathi for playing Ram.

Actor-director Cheran said that Prem Kumar has don a commendable job in narrating a movie starring only two people. Sethupathi's screen presence and Trisha's beauty was magical on screen, he added.

Cheran also lauded the producers of the movie, who are real heroes taking the movie to the masses.
