Mini-screen diva Aditi Rai is a movie buff who loves watching the Malayalam hits of 90s. And apart from that, she is a quintessential Bengaluru girl who loves to explore the vibrant city with her friends.

Born to a Malayali father and a Kannadiga mother, Aditi flaunts her lineage with pride. Aditi’s father Dominic John hails from Kottayam and mother Rita is a native of Bengaluru. “My real name is Silvia. Aditi is in fact my screen name," revealed the pretty actress.

Aditi, who claims to know seven languages, made her debut through the Kannada film 'Prince' in 2011.

“I was born and brought up in Bangalore. I currently live in a 3-BHK flat at Koramangala,” she said. Aditi was much noted after she appeared in the recent reality show 'Bigg Boss' (Malayalam).

“The concept of a house for me is the peace that I can get from the place. I myself did the interiors of my flat. The balcony is my favourite space in the house. From there I can see the charm of the city in the evenings. It is also the place where I unwind myself, with a cup of hot coffee, when I return from the shoots,” said Aditi.

She made her Mollywood entry with the 2016 film 'Anyarku Praveshanamilla' starring Tiny Tom in the lead. Ask her about her favourite star from M-Town and she quips, "Manju Warrier, I just adore her.”

Aditi has vague memories of her father’s ancestral home in Kottayam where she used to visit as a little child. “I enjoy the fast-paced city life, and it was this city which offered me opportunities in the movies after my stint in modeling. However, it indeed is saddening to lose our roots. I ask my mother why we left our native town and settled in Bangalore. My mother lives abroad. Our house becomes a sweet home only when we have our loved ones with us,” said the actress.

Aditi often visits Kerala for the filming of her serials and movies. Apart from movies, reading and dancing are her hobbies.
