Ever since the sequel of S Shankar’s Robot was announced, the viewers have been waiting eagerly for the film’s release. And after the posters were released, audience were eagerly looking forward for film's teaser and trailer.

The much awaited teaser of Rajinikanth starrer titled '2.0' was released on Thursday at 9 am.

Besides Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, 2.0 will be released in 12 languages across the world.

The one-minute 29-seconds video shows the return of Rajinikanth in double role -- as super robot 'Chitti' and its creator Dr. Vaseegaran. Akshay is playing the evil scientist Dr. Richard aka 'Crow Man'. British model-actor Amy Jackson plays the female lead.

While Enthiran was a visual treat, 2.0 seems to set a new record in terms of VFX works in the Indian cinema. AR Rahman joining Shankar and Rajinikanth is expected to thrill the viewers by providing music to perfection.

Produced by Lyca Production is the most expensive film to be made in India.
