Two higher educational institutions based in Kerala have featured in the latest National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings announced by the Ministry of Education. Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan announced the ninth edition of the rankings.

Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode was ranked third in the Management institutions category, only behind IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bengaluru.

National Institute of Technology, Calicut was also placed third in the rankings in the 'Architecture and Planning' category. IIT Roorkee in Uttarakhand and IIT Kharagpur in West Bengal took the top two spots.

Kerala Chief Minister said it was a proud moment for Kerala's higher education sector. "Securing top ranks across categories, our institutions reflect the remarkable growth in the higher education sector, fuelling our aim to build a knowledge-based economy," Vijayan posted on X, also called Twitter.
