Thiruvananthapuram: In a move that would be immensely beneficial for students clearing the SSLC exams (Class 10 exams under the Kerala government syllabus), the authorities have decided to issue the mark certificates three months after the announcement of results.

Currently, only a certificate indicating the grade secured by the candidate is issued while results are published and the mark-list is given two years later, that too merely to those who apply for it. However, a facility is provided to send the mark-list to institutions outside Kerala, where the students join for higher studies or employment, before two years.

Under the new decision, candidates should apply directly to the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan with a demand draft (DD) for Rs 500 to receive the mark certificate three months after publication of results. At the same time, the fee to obtain the mark-list after two years would be Rs 200.

The Examination Commissioner will release a circular in this regard soon.
