The Session 2 of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main-2024 will take place from April 4 to 15 and applications can be submitted online till 11 pm on March 2 on the website https://jeemain.nta.ac.in

The Session 1 of JEE (Main was conducted from January 24 to February 1 and its results were announced on February 2. Candidates who appeared for the first session and wish to improve their scores as well as those who could not register for the first session may apply for the second session. For deciding the JEE (Main) rank, the higher score will be considered for candidates who attempt both sessions.

Application procedure

The application procedure is easy for those who had applied for the first session and wish to appear for the second session. They can login with their application number and password; submit details such as medium of exam, state code, exam centres and qualifications; and pay the fees. However, those who are applying for the first time should follow all procedures mentioned in the new notification for the exam.

JEE (Main) is the qualifying exam for admissions to BTech, BE, BArch and BPlanning at the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) in the country, including NIT-Kozhikode; Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) in various places, including Pala; other technical institutions receiving Central government funding and institutions / universities funded or recognized by state governments.

BE / BTech admissions are conducted based on Paper 1; BArch on Paper 2A and BPlanning on Paper 2B.

Candidates who secure the top 2.5 lakh ranks in JEE (Main) will be eligible to attempt JEE (Advanced), which leads to admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
