Rich in nutrients, mushrooms are considered a ‘super food.’ Incidentally, mushroom farming is not familiar to most people in Kerala where the climate is ideal for this food crop. Manorama Horizon, the educational portal of ‘Malayala Manorama’, has arranged a short online course in mushroom farming for beginners. Children as well as anyone interested in farming can join the course, which aims to create awareness among participants on growing mushrooms.

The course seeks to address this issue by highlighting the advantages of growing mushrooms.
