The Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) and the Undergraduate Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) held by the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, for admission to various undergraduate/post-graduate programmes offered at some of the premier design universities and institutes in the country, will have a revised syllabus from 2024 onwards

Before applying for the exams, aspirants may go through the syllabi.

1. CEED: The Common Entrance Examination for Design allows aspirants to pursue advanced studies in the field of designing by taking up courses like Master of Design (M Des) and PhD.

Programmes: M Des and PhD courses are offered at institutes and centres like Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, Indian Institute of Technology in cities like Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Rourkee, Guwahati and Hyderabad and also in Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) in Jabalpur. Besides, many national institutes consider the CEED score for admission.

MDes in Industrial Design at School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi
MDes at the School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal
MDes at VIT School of Design, Vellore
MDes course at Jain Deemed to be University, Bengaluru
PG, MIDID Innovation courses in MIT Institute of Design, Pune
MDes program at MIT Institute of Design, Ujjain
MDes at JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur
MDes course offered at Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bengaluru
MDes at School of Design, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun
MDes program at Tezpur University, Assam
MDes at Central Institute of Technology (Deemed), Kokrajhar
MDes course offered at Shiv Nadar University, Delhi.

2) UCEED: Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design allows young aspirants to seek admission for Bachelor of Design (B Des) courses at various institutes in the country. IITs in Bombay, Guwahati and Hyderabad and IIITDM in Jabalpur consider the UCEED score for admission to the BDes courses. Many prominent design institutes, including the Kerala State Institute of Design in Kollam, use the UCEED score for admission to the four-year BDes courses.
