The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will accept online applications for the single girl child scholarship scheme for class 11 till December 10. Website: http://cbse.nic.in.

This merit scholarship is for couples, who have only a daughter. She should also be their only child. 

Girls, who have secured 60 per cent marks in the CBSE class 10 exam in 2020 and are now studying in class 11 at the CBSE-affiliated schools, will get Rs 500 per month for two years.

The monthly tuition fee should not be more than Rs 1500. But for NRI students, the fee can be up to Rs 6,000. The fee can increase by up to 10 per cent in the next year.

Assistance will be given to all students, who meet the conditions. The students can also avail other scholarships. The scholarship has to be renewed next year. The assistance will be continued for those students who secure 50 per cent marks in class 11.

Students should strictly follow all the guidelines given on the website, including an affidavit, bank account, and photo. Students will get help from the school office in these matters.
