The music club of Sacred Heart College Thevara is in a merry mood. Having been able to garner the maximum number of points that let the Heartians kiss the MG University Fest cup once again is definitely a reason to cherish.

The joy of the Western Group Music team knows no bounds. The team who usually had to settle for the second or third prize below the continuous winners of the event CMS College, Kottayam, has managed to break the jinx and claim the title on the soil of their enemies this time. The members of the winning team were Samuel James, Nehal Kandathil, Olivia Anna, Joanna Elvis, Donna Achamma, Noel Prince, Alloy Francis, Reniel K Reji and Steeve Kottoor.

The prize for Eastern Group Song came as an icing on top of the cake for the college that had already managed to ensure its claim over the championship trophy.

The team comprising of Kalathilakam Poornasree Haridas, who won first position for classical music, Malayalam recitation and light music, ensured that the SH College broke the title of overall champions by breaking their own record. Other team members were Souparnika Anilkumar, Teresa George Pullan, Bhanu Ullas, Hari Krishnan , Akhil Chandrasekhar , Goutham Gopal, Alloy Francis and Steeve Kottoor.

In last year’s fest Sacred Heart College had managed to break the jinx of St.Teresas’s College who were retaining the trophy for seven continuous seasons.

This time Sacred Heart College has scored the maximum points among the participants in all music events. The club is working under the guidance of Sibi Abraham, Faculty of the Department of Economics.
