Photo: OppoChina-based handset maker Oppo is all set to woo the selfie lovers with its newly launched smartphone Oppo F5. Promoted with the tagline 'capture the real you', the phone boasts of a 20 MP selfie camera, which remains a major highlight of the phone.

Specifications and features
The Oppo F5 smartphone runs ColorOS 3.2 based on Android 7.1 Nougat. The dual SIM (nano) phone is powered by a MediaTek MT6763T octa-core SoC. The phone sports a six-inch full-HD+ (1080x2160 pixels) LTPS 'Full Screen' display, which is another major attraction of the phone. It also sports Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
O-Share, which the company pitches as an alternative to Bluetooth for sharing files between Oppo devices, Game Acceleration, and Facial Unlock are some other key features of the phone. The fingerprint sensor is located on the rear panel.

In India, Oppo F5 price starts at Rs19,990. The basic variant with 4GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage will be available in two color variants, viz., gold and black. Priced Rs24,990, the 6GB RAM - 64GB inbuilt storage variant will be available in a red and black. Both the variants support expandable storage of up to 256GB via microSD card (dedicated slots).
The basic phone will go on sale on November 9 while the 6GB RAM variant will be on sale starting December, revealed the company.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v4.2, dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB with OTG support, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The phone sports sensors like ambient light sensor, accelerometer, digital compass, and proximity sensor among others. It is powered by a 3,200mAh battery. Measuring 156.5x76x7.5mm (height x width x thickness), the Oppo F5 weighs 152 grams.
Alongside the Oppo F5 selfie phone, the company has also announced another smartphone named Oppo F5 Youth. But the company has not yet revealed details of the phone.
