Dense fog in North India: Flight, train, ops hit; Find whether your flight is affected

Flight and train operations have been affected across the northern part of India due to dense fog. Around 50 flights were delayed at Delhi's Indira Gandhi Airport. According to IMD, Delhi is expected to experience the condition till January 8. The Palam airport in Delhi reported zero visibility at 8 am, while the Safdarjung Airport reported a 50m visibility. Meanwhile, the air quality index in the city is at 309, which is categorised as very poor. The services of many carriers, including SpiceJet, Indigo and Air India, are affected. Currently, there is an average delay of six minutes for arrival and 47-minute delay for departure flights.
The Indigo airline has also issued a special advisory for Delhi, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Lucknow and Guwahati routes, urging travellers to check schedules before leaving. Around 24 trains departing from Delhi are also delayed due to the weather conditions. Ayodhya Express was delayed by four hours, the Bihar Kranti Express and Shram Shakti Express were delayed by over three hours, and the Gorakhdham Express is running around two hours late.
