Chennai: The special train services announced by the Southern Railway from Chennai Central to Kollam for the Sabarimala devotees will commence today. The sleeper coaches on the train that departs at 3.10 pm (06117) have been completely booked. Meanwhile, many tickets are available in the AC compartments, including third economy AC and third AC coach. The arrival time at Kollam is 6.20 am. The special train operates services on November 25, December 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 and on January 6 and 13, 2025. 

More than one hundred tickets are available in the sleeper, and AC coaches are available on the train that will begin service tomorrow (06111). This train starts from Chennai at 11.20 pm on November 19, 26, December 3, 10, 17, 31 and January 7 and 14, and reaches Kollam at 2.30 pm the next day. Meanwhile, the Garib Rath train with only third AC coaches (06119) departs Chennai Central on November 20, 27, December 4, 11, 18, 25 and January 1, 8 and 15 and reaches Kollam at 6.20 next morning.

The third AC ticket on the train (06113) that leaves at 11.20 pm on November 23 is now available in the RAC category. Meanwhile, more than one hundred tickets are available in the sleeper coaches. This train also runs services on November 30, December 7, 14, 21, 28, and January 4, 11, and 18. All the special trains have stops at Perambur, Thiruvalloor, Arkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpet, Salem, Erode, Tirupur, Pothannur, Palakkad, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Ettumanoor, Kottayam, Changanassery, Thiruvalla, Chengannur and Kayamkulam. 

4 additional SETC services
Tamil Nadu's State Express Transport Corporation (SETC) has allowed four additional services daily from Chennai for Sabarimala devotees. Two buses each would operate from Kilambakkam and Koyambedu bus terminals. The buses leave at 2 30 pm and 3 pm from Kilambakkam and at 2 pm and 3 pm from Koyambedu. Passengers could book tickets for trips on these buses until January 16. However, some schedules are already completely booked. For booking, visit www.tnstc.in.
