'India is not for beginners' is a well-worn phrase, but the creative 'jugaad' solutions Indians use to navigate problems can blow anyone's mind. A recent video in which a passenger finds a solution for the lack of enough seats on a train can impress anyone who often travels in crowded trains. He casually makes a 'hammock' between two upper berths, criss-crossing a rope like an expert weaver. Curious co-passengers can be seen closely watching to understand what the guy is up to. Many can also be seen recording the 'innovative' solution. We have not been able to verify the date of the video.
A few months ago, a Mysuru Special Fare Summer train passenger was seen 'making' a seat using a bedsheet suspended across six seats for his child to sleep during the journey.

The video is flooded with comments on various platforms. While the oft-repeated comment on X is, ' This is nothing; people are a lot more creative on trains to find solutions for seating issues,' a few others have also mentioned that such practices should be discouraged. Many were also quick to point out how nobody in the seating area seemed to be opposing the man, though his 'seat' was blocking light and free movement for the passengers seated under the upper berths. Certain netizens also expressed worry about how both the upper berths might not have the capacity to hold the man's weight in the middle and how it can be disastrous.
