In the blockbuster movie ‘Premalu’, the visa application of its protagonist Sachin, played by Naslen, is rejected while his friend’s visa is approved. Sachin’s application was rejected stating that he didn’t have enough funds in his bank account. Most people tend to get worried about the hectic application process as soon as they decide to fly abroad. If rejected, it is indeed a hassle to repeat the same procedures. In such situations, not just time or money is wasted, but the stress may even lead to depression. These might be the six reasons why your visa may have been rejected.
Incomplete application
In most cases, incomplete application is the main reason why visas get rejected. Failure to answer certain questions, submit certain documents or be unable to provide certain information may lead to rejection. So, you must be careful while filling out and submitting the application. Make sure that you have answered all the questions and submitted all the required documents and details.
Violation of immigration laws
Giving wrong information or relying on fraudulent methods to mislead the system comes under the violation of immigration laws. Lack of clarity in the application too may lead to instant rejection.
Incomplete travel details
You should provide clear and reliable details about your intention to visit. The immigration officers would question you about the place where you will be staying, the duration of the stay and the purpose of the visit. The applicant should be able to provide such information with clarity.
Intention of visit
Visa could be rejected if the applicant is unable to clarify his/her intention to visit. Be it for tourism, business purposes or visiting family, you should mention that in the application. Documents that support your claim too should be submitted.
Problems with passport
The passport details mentioned in the application should be correct. An expired passport, damaged passport or shortage of unstamped leaves too maybe some of the reasons for rejecting your application. Make sure that your passport fulfils all the requirements of the immigration department. There should at least be two plain leaves or pages for stamping the visa.
Insufficient funds
Visa could be rejected if the applicant is unable to prove that he /she has the financial ability to support the travel. The immigration officers should be convinced that you have enough money to meet the expenses abroad. Besides, they should be assured that the applicant wouldn’t resort to illegal employment methods. Submitting bank statements, proof of income and sponsorship letters along with the application would prove your financial ability and increase the chance of visa approval.
