Thiruvananthapuram: Owing to the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the launch of the new Vande Bharat Express train on April 25, there will be changes in train timings in Kerala from April 23 to 25.
On April 23 and 24, Malabar Express and Chennai Mail will run only till Kochuveli. On April 24, Amrutha Sagar Express will be on service only till Kochuveli. On April 24 and 25, the Kochuveli - Nagarcovil express will start service from Neyyattinkara.
Modi's visit
PM Modi will arrive in Kerala on April 24 for a two-day visit and attend a host of programmes including the flagging off of Vande Bharat Express train.
Modi is also likely to travel along with a group of school children in the new train and interact with them, according to sources. Here's the detailed information on changed train timing:
Short Termination
1. The service of Train No.16630 Mangaluru Central - Thiruvananthapuram Central Malabar Express leaving Mangaluru Central on 23rd and 24th April 2023(2 days) will be terminated at Kochuveli . The service will be partially cancelled between Kochuveli and Thiruvananthapuram Central.
2. The service of Train No.12623 MGR Chennai Central - Thiruvananthapuram Central Daily Mail leaving MGR Chennai Central
on 23rd and 24th April 2023(2 days) will be terminated at Kochuveli . The service will be partially cancelled between Kochuveli and Thiruvananthapuram Central.
