Abu Dhabi/Dubai: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has recently announced a new express bus service exclusively for air passengers between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Currently, the service is available only for Wizz Air passengers. However, in future, it would be extended to people travelling on other airlines also.

A memorandum of understanding was signed by RTA and Capital Express for Rapid Intercity for the bus service, which would operate from Ibn Battuta Mall.

The bus fare would be included in the flight charges and the vehicles would have sufficient space to store the luggage of passengers. Other facilities such as parking will be arranged by RTA. The RTA will also ensure the security of passengers at Ibn Battuta Mall.

“Surveillance will be strengthened to ensure a smooth travel between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The new service will also boost public-private partnership,” said Ahmed Hashim Bahroosian, CEO of RTA Public Transport Agency.

“The new express service will also attract more tourists to Dubai and Abu Dhabi,” added Eyad Ishaq Al Ansari, CEO of Capital Express for Rapid Intercity.
