Thiruvananthapuram: The popular yellow taxi services are now available in Kerala's capital city. The commuters can avail the yellow taxi service from any place, at any time by dialing the toll free number 7561000002. The yellow taxi which has been operating successfully in Kochi and Thrissur has finally started in Thiruvananthapuram.

Cars with yellow 'taxi' boards on top were spotted on the roads yesterday onwards. The services will be available 24 hours a day. Women can avail services of female drivers. As part of introductory offer, 10%-20% discount on the taxi fare has been announced. The call taxi service formed by driver's union is operated by the Yellow Prime Cabs. It functions as per tariffs approved by the Kerala government.
