3. Try not to wade through flooded waters. It might be slippery and do watch out for snakes as the water level rises. It is always better to find a shelter at a higher ground than putting your life at risk.

4. Listen to your local radio channel or All India Radio for rain updates. Make your travel plans accordingly.

5. Report dangerous situations you come across while travelling at state roll-free helpline 1070. It might be of help to other travellers.

6. Try not to go to any places alone as it is safer to travel together. Take extra care.

7. Stay away from power lines and electric wires.
