They say a good intention, with a bad approach, often leads to a poor result. Well, they could very easily have been referring to Pathanamthitta District Tourism Promotion Council's promotional video for their tourism programme ‘Explore Pathanamthitta'. The video, which was posted on Don Media Entertainment's YouTube channel on May 22, 2015 received more flak than appreciation. The video features a diva hitch-hiking her way to Pathanamthitta sporting a crop top, check shirt and shorts teamed up with a strap platform high heel sandal and backpack. Don Media stylist's decision to dress the hitch-hiker in a blend of _Medicine Man_'s Lorraine Bracco and a ramp model largely fell flat. Many commented under the video that while trying hard to turn up the oomph factor, the creative team seems to have forgotten the real purpose of the video. A few good things in the 2.34-second-long video: The model-less frames, where you get to see the real beauty of Pathanamthitta, the elephants and a man enjoying every biker's dream – riding shirtless on a Royal Enfield through the wilderness. The glamour quotient is sure to attract some curious visitors, but sadly not to Pathanamthitta. Watch the video below.
