There is just one platform at the station now and it is very low making it difficult elderly and kids to get off the train. When the renovation is over, the platforms will be on the level with the trains.  There will be three platforms at the station.

Island platforms

The second and third platforms will be converted into island Platforms. An island platform is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station. With the introduction of island platforms, the time it takes to pass through the station will reduce considerably. And once it is modified the number of trains stopping here becomes high.
