Valparai: With the mercury soaring day by day, thousands of travelers are heading for Valparai, the small town known for its cool weather and tea plantations.

Valparai is the nearest place to escape the heat for people in Coimbatore. Of late, a lot of travelers from Kerala and Karnataka have been making a beeline for this hill station. The result? all the hotels and home stays are full. And all the tourist destinations are crowded.

The Chinnakallar waterfall has been opened to public following heavy rains in the hills adding to the allure. The hanging bridge and the lower Neerar dams have been seeing a large number of visitors since.

So, make sure you book your room in advance before you plan a trip to Valparai.
