Pranav Mohanlal’s love for trekking and mountaineering is quite well known. He is often spotted enjoying the misty valleys of the Himalayas. However, Pranav's recent adventure was to somewhere else – the picturesque hills and valleys of Europe. The pictures taken from some of tallest mountain ranges in Spain have already become viral.
An adventure lover, Pranav doesn’t say ‘no’ to travelling and exploring new places. Even though the actor doesn’t post regularly on his social media, the pictures and videos instantly become instant social media hits whenever they are uploaded. A recent Instagram post in which Pranav is seen scaling a steep rock structure in Ireland's Burren region had been incredibly viral. Many had appreciated the actor’s agility and his presence of mind.
A picture taken from Picos de Europa hill which is part of the Cantabrian Mountain ranges in Northern Spain is the latest that he has shared on his page.

Picos de Europa, which means the ‘Peaks of Europe’ is part of a national park. Torre de cerredo which is 2650 meters tall is the highest mountain range here. The summits of these peaks could be spotted from afar by the American explorers. The verdant savannahs and the rocky hillocks make this place a photographer’s paradise.
Picos de Europa is one of the best hiking routes in Spain. Besides, there are many ancient caves complexes too. Torca del Cerro (1589 metres), Sima de la Cornisa (1507 metres), Torca de los Rebecos (1255 metres) and Pozo del Madejuno (1252 metres) are some of the deepest caves here. Meanwhile, researchers are trying to unearth more such caves in Pocos de Europa.
The Picos de Europa national park that sprawls in Asturias, Cantabria and Castilla y Leon provinces is the perfect example of the Atlantic eco zone. The national park has oak and beech trees lined on its paths. Besides, golden eager, grey bear and the Inberian wolf are some of the wild animals that could be spotted here. This has been identified as one of UNESCO’s biosphere reserves.
The three provinces in which the national park spreads are known for its unique unique. Asturias is quite famous for its authentic cheese and cider. Meanwhile, the coasts of Cantabria is the perfect spot to enjoy fresh seafood. The majestic fortresses and palaces of Castilla y Leon are truly incredible. Moreover, this city is home to the 800 year old University of Salamanca.
One could catch a train to Picos de Europa which overlooks eleven picturesque hamlets. This is a unique feature that is not seen in many national parks. The visitors should get down at the Cangas de Onis railway station. The scintillating views of the rural life is the highlight here. Besides, there is funicular railway that connects points along the slope of the mountain.
Enol Lake and Ercina Lake which are popularly known as the Covadonga Lakes are incredibly beautiful. The banks of these lakes are covered in verdant lawns where cows and horses graze in the summer. Meanwhile, there turn into the vast stretch if ice during the winter. Free guided tours are available to these places from July to September. Moreover, there are around seventeen view points from where the visitors can enjoy the panoramic view of the scintillating valley.
