Leading stars of Malayalam film industry are having a gala time in Canada where they will be attending the annual North American Film Awards. The young brigade is busy visiting some of the most beautiful destinations in the country, especially the famed Niagara waterfalls.
In the pictures posted by actor Neeraj Madhav on his Instagram account, the actor is seen enjoying the beautiful Niagara Falls along with other leading men like Tovino Thomas and Kalidas Jayaram. The newly married actor is accompanied by his wife Deepthi as well.
Neeraj has posted many videos which reveal the beauty of the Niagara, on the social media. The deafening sound of the water falls too is clearly audible in the videos. In the second long video the actor has captured the pristine green waters of the waterfalls and the rainbow which connects the lands of Canada and the USA.
It was through the superhit movie ‘Ezham Kadalinakkare’ directed by hitmaker IV Sasi, that the Malayali audience saw the magnificence of the Niagara Falls on screen. The song ‘Suraloka jaladhara ozhuki ..ozhuki’ from the movie truly captured the mesmerising beauty of the majestic Niagara. Years later Dileep starrer ‘Two Countries’ too captured the scintillating beauty of the waterfalls.
The Niagara waterfall, which has a vertical drop of more than 165 feet, is considered as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Located at the boundary between Canada and USA, the Niagara Falls is in fact the joint name given for the three waterfalls – Horseshoe Falls, American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. More than 6 million cubic feet of water goes over the crest of the falls every minute. The waterfall also houses the biggest hydroelectric project in the world. The sight of the Niagara from Canada is more spectacular as the water flow on the American side is much less in strength.
