There are several places of amazing natural beauty which are waiting to receive travellers after the COVID-19 crisis subsides and Mussoorie is among them. A hill station created by the British to escape from the heat and dust of the plains, it is a small town located in the Dehradun district of Uttarakhand state. Mussoorie soon turned into a major tourism destination.

Now referred to as the Queen of Hills and situated at an altitude of 2,000 metres above sea level, the area attracts a large number of visitors thanks to the picturesque scenery and cool weather. There are several interesting spots in Mussoorie which can be reached by camel back ride. They include Kempty waterfall, Lake Mist, Mussoorie Lake, Bhatta waterfall, Municipal Garden, views of a glorious sunset and beautiful flowers.

How to reach

Even though Mussoorie can be visited around the year, the ideal time to plan a trip is from September to June. Mussoorie can be reached by bus directly from Delhi and other major cities in north India. The nearest railway station Dehradun is 34 km away and the nearest airport is also at the same place.
