Hello
There are rumours that Nitish Kumar might be planning a return to the BJP-led NDA.
It is understood the CPI(ML) that is the strongest of the left parties in Bihar has demanded five out of the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar.
Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav attended the merger event in Kozhikode on Thursday.
Among the ministers who took oath, 16 were from RJD, 11 from Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's JD(U), two from Congress, one from ex-CM Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and one Independent.
The RJD looks set to emerge as the single-largest party in the House with 77 seats, having won 55 and leading in 22.
The second round of the voting was held in the 17 districts amid tight security and strict coronavirus guidelines in place.
Among other allies, Congress has been given 70 seats, nearly twice as many as it had contested in the 2015 assembly polls in alliance with the RJD and Chief Minister Nitish Kumars JD(U).
