Known for her writings on the oppression of women and criticism of religion, several of her works are banned in Bangladesh, the country of her origin. She has been living in exile since 1994.
Like Rushdie, Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen had also received death threats from Islamic groups for her novel 'Lajja'.
Taslima had tweeted on Monday that Moeen would have joined militant group ISIS in Syria had he not been busy playing cricket.
The titles will range from autobiographical writings to essays, fiction, short stories, and poetry.
Taslima, a citizen of Sweden, has been getting residence permit on a continuous basis since 2004.
The exiled writer said instead the women activists should visit villages where women face several issues.
