Hello
It was Germany's first home World Cup qualifying loss in 20 years in coach Joachim Loew's last qualifying game in charge ahead of his departure following this summer's European Championship.
Loew, who has a contract until 2022, led Germany to the World Cup title in 2014 but his team bowed out in the first round in 2018 and has been struggling to perform at top level in recent years.
The 35-year-old former Bayern Munich and Manchester United midfielder has effectively hung up his boots as his current team Chicago Fire team failed to make the MLS play-offs.
Loew has been in charge for 12 years, having taken over after the 2006 World Cup, and in he 2014 led Germany to their fourth World Cup title.
