Hello
NDA released the names of its candidates for 16 out of 20 Lok Sabha seats in Kerala.
Following a state executive meeting in Cherthala, BDJS confirmed that its party chief, Thushar Vellappally, will be their candidate for Kottayam.
Vellappally has claimed that the NDA won't work in Kerala unless it cozies up to minorities.
Thushar was controlling the intermediaries operating in Telangana from Ahmedabad, said KCR.
After a preliminary enquiry, the BJP believes that the votes of its ally, the Bharath Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS) had gone to the rivals.
BDJS sources said the party national president Thushar Vellappally had expressed willingness to step down as the convener of NDA.
CPI’s C K Asha, the sitting legislator, Congress’s Dr P R Sona and BDJS’s Ajitha Sabu faced hardly any challenges from their party colleagues at the time of candidate selection.
Though the SC has stayed the High Court order, it is unlikely to benefit some candidates who already entered the fray after taking voluntary retirement.
Lathika's candidature could affect not just the United Democratic Front as is widely expected, but even the Left Democratic Front and the National Democratic Alliance in the April 6 assembly election.
Citing a tight shooting schedule, the actor had earlier conveyed to the state leadership his inconvenience to contest.
