The total number of cheetahs at the KNP currently stands at 21 - six males, seven females and eight cubs.
Namibian cheetah Aasha had given birth to three cubs on January 3. However, only one of them survived.
A male cheetah named Shaurya died at KNP in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday.
Fifteen cheetahs (seven male, seven female, and a cub) were kept in bomas (enclosures) in the KNP since August this year as a team of veterinarians monitored their health.
As part of Project Cheetah, 20 cheetahs were imported from Namibia. The Cheetahs came in two batches to Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park.

Out of these 24 feline, eight including three cubs have died. Some cheetahs were reported to have developed infections due to radio collars.
The latest to die was a male cheetah named Suraj, said Forest officials.
Eight Namibian cheetahs -- five female and three male -- were released into enclosures at KNP on September 17 last year.
Daksha became the third cheetah to die in the KNP. Earlier, a female cheetah and a male cheetah died on March 27 and April 23, respectively.
