The test positivity rate was 26 per cent two weeks ago but was reduced to 12 per cent yesterday.
Seven new fatalities -- three from Kerala, two from Karnataka and one each from Chhattisgarh and Tamil Nadu -- were reported in 24 hours, according to the ministry's data.

The state now has 90,649 active cases after 3,819 recover from the infection.
Two districts – Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam – reported over 1,000 cases.
