Kerala girls clinched bronze in the 49th Sub-Junior National Basketball Championship in Telangana on Sunday.

The Kerala side crushed the hosts, 71-26, to take bronze. Akshara top scored with 14 points, while Anna Mariam and Lakshmi contributed with 13 and 11 points respectively.

Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu clinched gold in the boys and girls categories respectively. In the boys' final, UP defeated Delhi, 56-49, while TN got the better of Maharashtra, 68-46, in the girls' final.
