Kerala Youth Basketball: Kozhikode retain girls title, Thrissur win boys' event

Holders Kozhikode retained their title in the girls category of Kerala State Youth Basketball Championship while Thrissur won the boys' event.

Kozhikode crushed Alappuzha 88-43 while Thrissur got the better of Kozhikode 74-43 in the girls and boys finals respectively on Wednesday. The championship organised by the Idukki District Basketball Association was held at the CMI Public School in Vazhakulam, Muvattupuzha.

Kozhikode's Arthika and Thrissur's Abhishek were adjudged the best players in the girls and boys categories respectively. Subadra Jayakumar of Alappuzha and Muhammed Sinan of Kozhikode took the Promising Player prizes.
