The Super League Kerala match between Malappuram FC and Forca Kochi in Manjeri on Wednesday was called off due to bad weather and unplayable pitch conditions. The match was scheduled to kick off at 7.30 pm at the Payyanad Stadium.

“Despite efforts to continue, the officials deemed the pitch unsafe, leading to the match being called off. As per the league regulations, the match will be recorded as a 0-0 draw, with both Malappuram FC and Forca Kochi FC awarded one point each,” Super League Kerala official said.

The result should come as a blow for Malappuram that would hoped to climb up the points table with a home win. Malappuram sit fifth in the six-team table on 6 points from 6 matches. Kochi remain third on 9 points from their 6 outings.

The Super League Kerala will resume at the same venue on Friday with Thrissur Magic taking on Thiruvananthapuram Kombans.
