Substitute Vyshnav P earned a point for Thiruvananthapuram Kombans against Malappuram FC in the Super League Kerala at the Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium in the capital city on Wednesday.

Vyshnav's strike in the 86th minute cancelled out Alejandro Sanchez's opener for Malappuram in the 32nd minute. With a point apiece, the Kombans and Malappuram remain in the bottom three of the six-team table.

Sanchez had capitalised on Kombans’ goalkeeper Pawan Kumar's error to advance by lobbing the ball into the net for Malappuram's lead. The home side pushed hard for an equaliser, but had to wait till the dying moments when they got a corner. Captain Partick Mota delivered the cross that was turned in by Vyshnav at the far post.
